Make Back links Work For You

All webmasters are keen to get good backlinks to their sites, and with good reason. The search engines love backlinks, and it can often mean more visitors as people follow those links. But, plastered techniques will increase the chances that the search engines will be happy with your efforts.

First of all you should vary your anchor text. If all 50 of your links use exactly the same word/phrase you run the risk Google will take some weight off those links. Links have to look natural, and using the same word looks hokey. Now if the subject of your page is about the popular English drink, tea, below are some example anchor texts :-

1. drink of tea
2. tea
3. beverages

The main word 'tea' is still used, but in moderately different forms. Variations can also be beneficial when searchers are tapping in different phrases to find your site.

Secondly, when you are creating your backlinks, deep link. This means not just linking to one page, usually your home page, but to other crucial pages also.

Google likes it when webmasters are linkign in a natural looking way , and doing so to your inner pages helps to get those pages ranked. Better rankings equal better seo, which equals more visitors, since most people go to sites via search engines. Use a approximate ratio of 70% to your home page, the other 30% to your other pages, ignoring of course your privacy or contact pages. If you have a lot of additional pages you could even split it 50/50. And, remember to vary your anchor texts to those inside pages, just as you do with your front page. With the correct linking strategy you will be on your way to search engine ranking success in no time.  Just recall how important inbound links really are.
